Introduction
The Barakat of the Qur'an
The Quran are the words of Allah Ta’ala which the angel Jibrail brought down upon the heart of the Nabi Mohammad Rasulullah SA, and the Prophet Mohammad SA recited these words of truth and made them heard and known amongst the people.
Regularly reciting the Quran Majid, and the effort to memorize parts of it should be an essential part of the upbringing of every Mumin. Whilst written in the Arabic language that not all of us understand, the recitation of the Quran in the Arabic language, and as Rasulullah SA himself recited it, as it is now written is a constant source of Barakat for the reciter - for his life and home. Reciting the Quran keeps this barakaat embodied in the Quran alive amongst us.
Syedna Qadi al-Nu’man relates a hadith from Rasulullah SA that:
The one who recites the Qur’an shines for the people of the heavens just as the bright star shines for the people of the Earth.
On many occasions Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin emphasized in his waaz sermons and private sabaqs that there should not be a day in a mumin’s life which passes in which he has not read any of the Quran.
There are many aspects to the upbringing of children, such as learning namaz, understanding dawat ni zaban, and progressing step by step in the gradients of learning the Ilm of Aale Mohammad. The Madrasa section of the Fatemi Dawat website seeks to provide guidance in these areas. Within this rounded and holistic program of deeni education and upbringing, reciting the Quran should be an integral and balanced part.
Together with a learning guide, we suggest the following targets below: (and man zad zadahu Allah. So whoever does more, then Allah gives him more).
